Thanksgiving weekend was beautiful with our Bear Lake Reserve family! From cooking waffles with Culinary Sprouts to cleaning up the trails to indulging in Chef Josh's Thanksgiving Feast, we saw many smiling faces over the weekend. Thank you so much to everyone who came out and celebrated with us and participated in the events we hosted.

A special thank you goes out to all Bear Lake residents and guests that joined our book signing with Kevin Jones and enjoyed the Black Friday sale in the Boutique.  Your participation is greatly appreciated!

North Carolina Fire Ban in Effect

Please be aware that the state of North Carolina has issued a burn ban for all N.C. counties due to hazardous forest fire conditions. This burn ban includes Jackson County as of 5 PM on November 29th.  Please click here for the press release from the N.C. Fire Service with more information.

Homeowners Appreciation Fund

If you would like to contribute to the Owners Appreciation Holiday Fund, please do so before December 17th. The appreciation fund is a donation by B.L.R. Owners split between full-time, part-time, and seasonal staff who worked in 2021 and are scheduled to return in 2022.

The Owners Appreciation Holiday Fund Bonuses will be given to the staff on Saturday, December 18th, during the Owners / Staff Christmas Party at the Lake Club. 

We know this Holiday Bonus is very impactful for our team and helps create the culture of retaining strong team members year after year. This is entirely voluntary on your part if you wish to offer a memorable "Holiday Thank You" to the team. Any amount is acceptable and appreciated.

How To Contribute:

• Add to your B.L.R. account on file: Email - If you would like to use this method, please email craig@bearlakereserve.com with an amount to be added to your account. If you prefer, we can have Alisha send you an invoice for the amount, and you can pay online. If you would like an invoice, please email craig@bearlakereserve.com with the amount you would like to contribute.
• Check: Drop off a check at the Greeter's Cottage or the Lake Club. Make checks payable to Bear Lake Club, L.L.C. Remember to indicate on the check that it is for the Owners Appreciation Holiday Fund. NOTE: Checks can be mailed to  Bear Lake Reserve, P.O. Box 248 Tuckasegee NC 28783.

You are invited to Craig and Anne Smith's Holiday Kick-Off Event at their home on Thursday, December 16th, from 5:00 pm 'til whenever! Join fellow B.L.R. Owners for fun, fellowship, hors d'oeuvres, homemade chili, desserts, and of course, cocktails! This is not a potluck, so show up for some great food and spirits.

The 2021 Annual B.L.R. Thanksgiving Weekend Pickleball Tournament took place on a beautiful Sunday afternoon and everyone had a great time! We had 2 flights, one for beginners (Lake Flight) and one for more advanced players (Mountain Flight).
